Don’t give up
This is not a normal blog that I would usually post, but more of an encouraging word that I hope helps you, or someone that you love. Feel free to share it.
Temptation comes in many forms. However the devil thinks that he can deceive you, he’ll sure try. If he thinks he can get you to take the bait or believe the lie, he will. No one’s exempt from temptation. But everyone’s promised a way out of it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 tells us so.
It’s also a lie that you’re the only one faced with certain things. You’re not, everyone is going through or fighting something! Some just hide it better than others.
The enemy of your soul wants you to think that you’re alone and this thing is beyond you. Half of that’s true, it is beyond your ability to do it alone/without God’s help, but He’s promised to never leave you. We must first submit to Him and then resist the devil, and he has to flee.
I’ve found that when I felt God the least and then later looked back, I found that He was there all along. He never left me, He never forsook me. It’s just that He was working when I could not see and preparing the way for me. Maybe He was teaching me, but He never gave up on me. He doesn’t give up on you either. That’s just another lie. But, we must not give up on Him.
What are you tempted to do? A temptation that most don’t consider a temptation is quitting. Are you tempted to give up, give in, and throw in the towel? That shouldn’t be an option. Take it off the table!
Do you believe that it would just be easier or better for you, or maybe for others on the other side of giving up? That’s a lie straight from the pits of hell. Maybe you think it’s the only way out. Another lie! The only thing on the other side of quitting is defeat.
Return to the stronghold, You prisoners of hope. Even today I declare That I will restore double to you. Zechariah 9:12
God is our stronghold! We are called prisoners of hope! We cant escape it. Hope is an anchor. It’ll hold you when the storms rage around you and cause you not to drift and even though you want to give up, you can’t. Your a prisoner! But of hope, not defeat! He is faithful in that which He has promised and even though it doesn’t always happen when we want it to, or in an instant, it can happen just like that the same! He can begin even today to restore that which you lost. He can turn it around. He alone is our very and ever present helper in our troubled times. Even when we have no one else to turn to. We never walk alone.
We are all a work in progress and good things take time, just like remodeling a home. So hold onto your hope. Hold onto your faith. Read Hebrews 10:35-39
Your were born to fight. Keep fighting the good fight of faith. Encourage someone else today. Pray for someone else today even though you have the need. Encourage one another. But Don’t give up. Don’t give in. ❤️
