Come to life!
Sometimes Jesus has to rattle our lives to get to us, to do a new work in us!
Ezekiel 37
4 Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! “5 Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. 6 I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.” ’ ”
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly A RATTLING; and the bones came together, bone to bone.
We gotta command the dry bones to come BACK TO LIFE. We can’t just sit around hoping it’ll happen. The dry bones represent you and me when we aren’t living fully as unto Him, and so we become very dry. It is not His will for us to live LIVE DEAD inside when He died and rose to set us free! He loves us too much to leave us in the grave of sin, shame, regret, and misery!
No stone is too heavy for Him to roll away. No stone is too heavy to keep Him back from saving you.
What stone is standing in your way? A stone of offense, shame, regret, or addiction? Something that you can’t forget? He can roll it away! The good news is, He did. All so that you might be free. As Lauren Daigle sings: “He’s still Rolling Stones.” What’s imprisoning and stopping me? He gave us the keys so that we don’t have to sit in our prison cells. We can walk out of our graves because He rolled the stone away!
Impossible never stops God. With men this is impossible, but not with God. There’s no such thing as impossible except for God to lie or contradict Himself. For with God, all things ARE POSSIBLE. I’m-possible, it’s not impossible. That’s why Jesus died! To set the captives free and to open the prison doors of sin and shame, and whatever else tries to keeps us bound. We are no longer bound in Jesus Christ, we are free.
May we “Behold! The Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world.” He didn’t come to keep us bound in whatever binds us.
The kingdom of God is within us and so are the keys. We can command dead bones to come back to life. We are told to. So many don’t know that they have the power and so they walk around powerless. He has given us the authority as His children. You may be very dry and lifeless like these bones were, but you don’t have to stay that way. Accept what He did, and don’t dwell on what you did. Take those grave clothes off, walk out of that grave and be free indeed.
Maybe He’s trying to rattle those inner prison doors to set you; the captive, free… Whatever He’s gotta do, He’s coming after you. His death and resurrection has defeated whatever is behind you, whatever is in front of you, and whatever is inside of you. He wants you free. Don’t run and don’t resist, let Him in.
Rattle!
“Friday's disappointment is Sunday's empty tomb.” “Rattle!” Lyrics by Elevation Worship
It may look dark today but Sunday was always on its way. He wants us (all) to live again. He doesn’t want our half-hearted sacrifice or full excuse. He paid all for you and He wants all of you. Again, He paid all of your debt for you. Not like a slave owner would pay to own you, but to free you so that you might willingly live and walk accordingly with and as unto Him! And wholeheartedly. ❤️
“LIVE! Dry bones hear the the Word of the Lord! Live!”
It is finished but He’s not finished with you yet!!! Let Him begin a good work in you. It’s a process but whom the Son sets free, is free indeed. No more sin, no more shame, and no more regret controlling you. He’s breathing new life into you.
Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
All because He died for you so that you might live unto Him. New life means letting go of the old life, along with its past mistakes and hurts. Letting them die so that you can live. You can’t heal from what you don’t first confess. Open up your hearts today. He poured out all for you. Today is the day of salvation. We need to get better at forgetting. Forgetting what’s behind in order to press on. We are MORE THAN conquers and made for MORE THAN just barely getting by! We must come out of our graves. Amen.
Mark 16
2 Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen. 3 And they said among themselves, “Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?” 4 BUT WHEN THEY LOOKED UP, THEY SAW THAT THE STONE HAD BEEN ROLLED AWAY—FOR IT WAS VERY LARGE.
The Son has risen and the stone has been rolled away. I got a reason to praise. 🙌🏽👏
