The Greatest Gift has already came.

As I walked out of the house to go to church yesterday morning, this came to me “He so selflessly laid down His life for us.”

I know that it’s Christmas and we’re reminded of the manger and how it all came about. But, isn’t that why He ultimately came and what it’s really all about? How He would so selflessly lay His life down for us so that we might live and live for and unto Him. It was all leading up to the cross and the resurrection.

As we’re reminded of the bright and beautiful star of Bethlehem that led the shepherds to His place of birth, we should also be reminded that He always has a light guiding us back to Him; where it all began. ⭐️

He is light and He is the light of the world - we are His cities on hills. Shining His light for all to see. We can be that light once we invite Him in.

That’s what He was born for, died for and ultimately rose to give us - Light! 💡 Hope. Joy. Peace. And Salvation, the greatest gift of all. He was and is The Light to light the way. That’s what He calls us to do and be! To tell the rest of the world that there is hope and that hope was born in a manger. He called us OUT of the darkness and INTO The Light, His marvelous light. ✨

Are we gonna let Him shine? This little light of mine…. ✨💡 🎵

You never know who you might be a light to this season, or at any given moment in time. We are all here to receive and then to share the good news that we have first received. To spread joy, to be of good cheer, to shine that light that leads to Him. The good news is, He came for you and me. He didn’t come, die, and rise just to leave us hopeless and lifeless. He came to give us life and life more abundantly. We can be full of that hope and light today, if we choose Him. As we remember His birth today, let’s also celebrate the gift that already came. The greatest gift of all, Jesus, and the salvation that He brought to you and me.

Make room on the inn- on the inside of your heart, today. Today is the day of Salvation. We don’t have to wait for Christmas Day to celebrate this gift. We can celebrate everyday. May we make room in our hearts and not just under our tree. May we not push Him out, like the rest of the world, and forget. Let’s put Him first and make Him center. He is what it’s “really” all about. This is where hope will arise. In your heart. This is where it all begins. Share hope and don’t hide it.

Let’s remember this Christmas what it really looks like and where it really all began, so that we can carry it on throughout the year. This is only the beginning of our shining light His light, spreading joy and hope and living out what He came and died to give. Let’s remember this Christmas season and take time to reflect on the true gift.

“Away in a manger, No crib for a bed…

The little Lord Jesus

Lay down His sweet head”

He came lowly. There was no place in the Inn for a true Savior’s birth. They didn’t know Who He was or why He came, yet! But this is the way God intended for it to be. May we make room today. May we get low today to realize that He came to lift us high above sin. We have a choice whether or not we will make room. May the light of His love point you back to Him to Him.

It’s kinda funny, but this yesterday morning I woke up at about 2 am and was at my parents house. I went downstairs to check on my son and his cousin. They weren’t there where I had left them to watch a movie and thinking they’d eventually fall asleep. So I went into the room where my daughter was sleeping, just to find her in one bed and her older cousin on the other. But, I did not find my son or the younger cousin anywhere. So, I thought it safe to think that they were tucked in, in my parents' room.

Well, my mother came out later on in the morning and said that the younger cousin was in her room but not my son. I sent my husband upstairs to wake my son up, assuming that he was hidden somewhere in the bed with his older cousin. He came back down and said that he had found him in the infant pack and play! Haha. His cousin had told him to sleep there or with his sister since he had a friend over. So he chose the pack and play rather than to sleep with his sister. Needless to say, he’s a little big for that pack and play. But, He was willing to sleep there just to be with them.

While it’s funny, it’s not so funny as I am reminded that Jesus didn’t even have a crib to be birthed in, much less a room at the Inn. Yet, He was willing to come so that He could have place in our heart. God sent His Son and He came in a lowly position and as a baby boy (God in the flesh) and was born in a manger underneath the stars. The Savior of the world was born in a feed trough. We call it a manger but it’s to feed animals out of. Jesus came down from heaven, born of God but out of a woman who was chosen to be a vessel, and birthed among animals - but ultimately to die for us while we were yet still in our stinky sin. That’s love and no greater love than this will we ever find. He is the source of it.

One more story. Remember the prodigal Son? The one who went away from the father’s house, spent all of his pre-inheritance, just to basically end up eating out of a trough with pigs? Yet, when he humbled himself and took a lowly position to go back home to the Father’s house to take up the position as a servant since he spent all he was given. His Father was waiting with arms wide open to receive Him back! He didn’t just receive Him back but killed the fatted calf and gave him a ring signifying that he was his father’s child. He loved us so much that He received us back AGAIN. He created us for Him and because of sin we strayed, but when we decide or decided to return back to Him, we are then doubly His!!!

John 3

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

THE GREATEST GIFT 🎁 WASNT WRAPPED UNDER A TREE. THAT IS WHY HE CAME. THAT IS WHY HE DIED. He didn’t stay in the manger or on the cross. He is Risen and lives on the inside of you and me!

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 3:16 isn’t to be taken lightly for it was heavy! All of the weight of our sin fell on Him. Salvation didn’t come cheap. It was all so that we might live. To live free and full of love. He came in a manger, He died on a cruel cross and yet He rose again - making a way for you and me to come back to Him again.

The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you. Jeremiah 31:3

He loved us before we even knew that we needed it and is drawing us back to Him, even in our sin. This is why He came. Let Him In.

Thank You God for Your love and for the Your Son, the Greatest Gift of all.
