THE TRUTH

Who say to the seers, “Do not see,” And to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us right things; Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits. Isaiah 30:10

This is where we’ve gotten to today. It’s time for each of us to choose which side of the fence we’re on, God’s or the worlds, and own it. Luke warmness brings about no real change but only wrong! It’s time to make a stand like Joshua and decide - if what you’re doing seems right then by all means do it, but as for me and my house, we’re gonna serve the Lord. We’re all in!

It’s time to have a made up mind, that’s where we first take a stand. The church needs to take it’s rightful place and that starts at home in our own hearts and lives. Serving Him means following His commands and walking in His ways. That’s why they are called commands, once you say you’re all in, it’s not an option. If you enlisted in the army, it’s not do what you wanna ‘do when you feel like it or part in and part out’. NO! It ought not be so in the Kingdom of God either. It’s time to get serious about this thing and His call, His truth, His church, and His people.

Lies profit us nothing. Feel good doesn’t last for long. Temporary pleasures have no lasting gain or real satisfaction. I’d rather hear the truth than a lie. It might hurt, it may be hard to hear or hard to swallow but a lie will burn all the way down to your belly and leave you in chains. 

We do not change by staying complacent or walking on eggshells. We can’t compromise with sin and play with our chains and expect them to be broken. We can’t walk free for long and stay bound at the same time... We might think we can but we can’t, it’s really black and white. There is no grey area with truth. The truth is true and a lie is a lie and anything else in between is an excuse or sugar coated lie.

Satan doesn’t get you by showing you the real after effects. He gets you with yummy looking bait until he’s got you ‘hook, line, and sinker’! Don’t take the bait. Don’t be fooled. The bait comes disguised as everything you want it to be. Don’t believe the lie. Don’t trade the truth for a lie just to hear what you want to get what you want and stay where you are. We don’t need tickling of ears anymore! Look where that’s gotten us. We can speak the truth IN LOVE, come on! But we can’t AFFORD to keep on being scared to stand up or to compromise! There is no compromising with sin. We either do or we don’t, if not, it wins.

We don’t need to play patty cake, we need to realize this isn’t a game, it is the difference between life and death and how are we living it out?The truth is: the truth is what will set you free and the blood of Jesus. Every Word of God is truth. We don’t get to pick and choose. One or the other will have rule over us. Believe it or not, but there will be a day when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Like it or not.

The bottom line is: He loves you. He loves me. He came to die FOR YOU, in your very sin. Your sin is no surprise to Him. He came to set you free from your prison, your wrong thinking, and to open up your eyes so that you could walk in truth and in love. It’s all so that you could be the change and go change the world. Not to sit on our thumbs, ignore truth or compromise with this world and it’s ways. His death and resurrection was not vain and we weren’t saved just to go back to our old ways or way of thinking. Faith comes by hearing and the hearing by the Word of God. We must know the truth in order to live out our faith.

Whom the Son sets free is free INDEED.

We are in the world but not of it. We are called to be cities on hills, lighting the way for unbelievers to come. We are not to lose our separateness or our shine. I realize that I may not have many followers and this may not be popular, but I’d rather be doing what’s right than popular any day! I’d rather help change one than conform to millions.

Jesus wasn’t the most popular and He wasn’t accepted in His own home town. They didn’t believe and that’s why they didn’t see many miracles.  Their unbelief kept them out! Don’t be blind to the truth. Jesus changed the world with just a couple hand full of men! He commissioned us, believers, to be His disciples just as He commissioned them, to go out and spread the good news. The good news is: He died to save us, He made a way, and He’s coming back for us. I realize not many are that passionate but we should be; how can we expect change if we aren’t willing to be the change??? We, the Church, can’t look like Christ and the world.

Last but not least, I believe that we are in preparation time and we can look back and see how conforming got us to where we are now. These really are perilous times and who would have ever thought it happen so quickly! It actually didn’t happen quickly, we just took time for granted and truth lightly. Suddenly’s take time but when they happen…. they happen suddenly. Nevertheless, He’s coming back for a spotless bride. Will we be ready? Remember the days of Noah… Only he pre-pared (ahead of time) and the rest laughed and thought it nonsense. Well, in the same way, we each will be counted either with the believers or the non believers. There will be no in-betweens.

And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, “How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.” 1 Kings 18:21

Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. James 4:4

It’s not about hating the world. It’s about loving God and loving people so much that we want to please God and show them that they can too! Be the change.

Lead just one to Him. Start with one. Start with you and then one by one you can bring them in. Go shine the truth of God! His Spirit, His Word, and His Power is in you if you have received Him. We have too many compromisers who don’t want to hear truth, don’t be one of them.

Again, God doesn’t leave grey area. Clearly He says, it’s the world or Me! Choose for yourself today Whom you’re gonna serve and it will shine through. The proof is in our fruits and how we live our lives, not just our confession. Fruits! That’s what we are known by.

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 7:21

It’s time to be the light.

“But everything exposed by the light becomes visible--and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. Be very careful, then, how you live--not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.” Ephesians 5:13-17

Make your prayer personal:

“Father God, forgive me for when I have fallen short. I truly want to please You. You have given me spiritual eyes to see and ears to hear what You want to tell and show me. I want to use what you’ve given me, all for the glory of You God. I know increase only comes with use, not before. A seed is just a seed of potential until it’s planted. I don’t want to ignore Your voice but I want to prepare my heart today so that I can sow on good soil and grow tomorrow. Only Your truth guide me so that I can be and live free. I know I can’t have a mix and experience Your full promise and blessing. You are the only way. The only truth . The only life. Any other way and apart from you is the wrong way. Father God, I don’t want to err, I want to walk with You all the way through.  In Jesus Name, Amen.”

There is no fear in love, for perfect love cast out all fear. May I be made perfect in Your love. May it cover me.
