My God will right the wrongs

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD. Isaiah 54:17

To rectify means: to Put right; correct. (Remedy)

              Or

To correct by removing errors. (To adjust)

My God is able rectify, amend, reform and make right the claims against us. He will plead our cause. He is the remedy and He is able to adjust things to work in our favor. It might not seem like it for a while but victory is never seen till the end. That doesn’t mean He’s not fighting but rather working behind the scenes. He sometimes giving us glimpses into what He’s trying to do so that we might not give up hope. Look at the story of Job.

Job was not just having a rough day or a rough patch if you will. He had lost pretty much everything. He still had his unbelieving wife and his body but even it was wasting away. His wife told him just to go ahead and curse God and die. He said his hope had been pulled or uprooted like a tree (Job 19:11)

Job was for sure broken down on every side but not gone. All hope did seem lost from every point of view, but Gods. And as if it wasn’t already bad enough, here come his false accusing friends telling him of all that he must of been doing wrong in order for all of this to had came upon him.

“Have pity on me, have pity on me, O you my friends, For the hand of God has struck me! Why do you persecute me as God does, And are not satisfied with my flesh?” Job 19:21-22

Even his friends wouldn’t have pity on him. Everyone else had darted out on him, he said even young children despised him when he got up and they spoke against him. He must have been pretty hard to look at. His family failed him and his familiar friends had forgotten him. He said he was repulsive to his wife and loathsome to his siblings. His maids counted him as a stranger, an alien (someone they didn’t even know or acknowledge!) Even his servant wouldn’t answer him when he called. And now, here’s these 3 men/friends, who just kept on making false accusations and claims. “Surely you did something wrong job.”

God did allow Satan to bring all this about but only because He knew Job wouldn’t forsake Him in the end. God would prove who He really was and Job would become even closer to God through it all as God reveled Himself to him. God would get the final say, BUT…. not till the end.

MY GOD will rectify for me.

Does this mean that these men weren’t really Job’s friends? No, but they weren’t being very good ones. God had something to show all of them. We must be careful how we approach others in their hard times, as we must approach wisely and seek God first. We must treat others as we’d want to be and we must prayerfully seek Gods words to be our own. Yet it seem to somehow make them feel good. BUT GOD, in the end, used the very prayer of His servant Job to not deal harshly with them. This is proof that God will have His way and that prayer and forgiveness are not optional but vital. They are both necessary in order to move into the next phase of our lives. That’s where the blessing is at. Still it took a while to play out. It’s all a process.

God told the men to make a sacrifice and told Job to pray for them. We must not sacrifice our relationship with others and thus God by trying to be God. Yet we are human and we all have or will all fail at some point. We have disappointed and have been disappointed. BUT GOD can and will amend the wrong and make it all right, if we offer up to Him our whole hearts and seek forgiveness. We must obey.

Sometimes it’s those who are closest or most familiar to us who seem to misunderstand us the most. Sometimes the attacks come out of nowhere and accusations fly, but they’re coming from somewhere: straight from the real enemy of your soul, not them. We must learn who and how to fight. He’s the one who wants to destroy you.

One things for sure, if you’re under attack, you’re in a good position to see the hand of God and His deliverance for you!

“So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did as the LORD commanded them; for the LORD had accepted Job. And the LORD restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.” Job 42:9-10

TWICE AS MUCH! God restored and Job got double for his trouble, BUT…..this didn’t just happen overnight. There’s a lot of chapters to the story of Job. 42 to be exact. I’m not sure how long this lasted or what chapter of your story that you’re on. I can’t promise you that it’ll happen quickly but God promises the victory..

Remember the story of Joseph? It’s worth a read. His brothers sold him into slavery over a dream He shared with them. They were jealous. If my number are correct, it took 13 years for Joseph to come out of prison and 22 years for him to see his brothers again. A young teen when rejected and a man when he was over the whole food supply that he’d share with them. They didn’t even recognize him upon arrival. It’s funny how God can turn things around for you when you remain faithful. What they meant for harm, He meant for good.

I can’t promise you that it’ll be easy but God can and will come through for us if we seek and trust Him. He gets the final say, every single time and He never loses power or control. He promised to work all things for your good. No matter whether it is a fault of someone else or your own. He makes good on His promises, so we can rest knowing that our God never sleeps.

“My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” Psalm 121:2-4

He is faithful and sure even when others aren’t.

“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)” Hebrews 10:23

If He has given you a promise, hold firm and onto hope UNTIL THE END. If you faint or give up too soon, you eliminate the possibility. God promises are possible but we must cooperate, or else they’d be for all and any to do whatever they want. We must hold onto our faith for He is faithful even when we do not see it. That’s when faith comes in and that’s what faith is for; the very times we don’t see what we’re looking for but we believe.

God is in the business of making all things new.

“Now the LORD blessed the latter days (second half) of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys.” Job 42:12

No matter what age or stage of this thing you’re in, it’s not too late for God to turn it around but we must cooperate with and trust in Him and His plan. That’s where hope is found.

Job cried out for help and for pity but did not seem to be heard. He had all but given up. God heard. God knew. It didn’t feel like it but nevertheless He did. God allowed the babble to go on and on but eventually He stepped in. He can do the same for you. To keep holding on is all you can do sometimes but that is what we must do. “Hold onto your hope as your trials unfold, it’s in the waiting.” I don’t have all the answers but I know the One Who does. Seek Him today to see what He will speak to you. The more you seek Him, the more you find Him.

It might feel like all of hell is against you, and maybe it is. It may feel like Gods forgotten you, but He hasn’t. It may feel like all hope is gone but I promise it’s not, you’re still here. (Read Zechariah 9:12) It may seem like you’ve been wrongly persecuted and maybe you have been. But in the end, He gets the final say. If all you can do is stand, stand. If all you can do is cry, cry Jesus. If it’s all you can do to get out of bed everyday, please do. But whatever you do, don’t give up. For He will rectify it for you.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

He loves you. If you love and follow Him, then you’re in a position for all these things around and against you to work for your good, in the end.

There’s a beginning, a middle and an end to every season.

Just like in any fight, victory happens in the end.

We are all in a fight for our (souls) lives but we can fighting the good fight of faith. Keep believing. Keep holding on. Even when we don’t feel it or see it, we can rest assured: He’s working.

“You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you.” 2 Chronicles 20:17

It reminds me of the old song:

“Because He lives” 🎵🎼🎶

And because He lives, I can face tomorrow

Because He lives, All fear is gone

Because I know, He holds the future

And life is worth the living, Just because He lives

It’s because you trust Him today that when He calls you to go out and face them tomorrow, you will be able to.

Last but not least, here’s what job had to say when he was being falsely accused:

“For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, That in my flesh I shall see God, Whom I shall see for myself, And my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me! “Job 19:25-26

He trusted God above all else. Above his friends, the noise, the accusation and his problems.

I know you’re hurting within and yearning for and His help. Like job, we must know that we know, and trust that our Redeemer lives! It’s “in the end” that HE that will stand upon the earth. He gets the final say and as long as we trust Him, He will right the wrongs against us. Trust requires faith and faith requires obedience. Job got to have a conversation with God, to see Who He really was. He said his ears had heard of Him, but now his eyes had seen Him. He obeyed by offering up His prayer to God and forgiving His friends. It wasn’t an easy ride, a hard one no doubt, BUT GOD in the end...... gave Him even more than He had before. Different but more. Different but new. Different but good. He can do the same for you child.

These aren’t just stories but promises for you. Hold onto!

Jesus I know that life is hard sometimes and my attitude can be sour. My heart feels faint and hard sometimes. But, I realize that without You, I don’t have hope; nothing lasting or of value to hold onto. You are my living hope. You are right here with me. You know my state and You see me. I know that You will plead my cause and have the final say. I know You’re working all things out for my good even if it don’t feel like it and I thank You. “Even when I don’t see it, You’re working. Even when I don’t feel it, You’re working. You never stop working.” It’s impossible for You to do. In Your name Jesus, Amen.

“Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.” Psalm 27:10

God never will abandon us though it might seems like the world is against us. He will take us in and plead our cause. We are His children. This is our heritage. Amen.
